Meet the Coaches.

 

Travis Jobe

Travis has over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry. His certifications include CF-L1, CF-L2, NASM and AAFA personal training, Nike Speed & Agility, and USA Olympic Lifting. Travis has been involved in sports his whole life. In high school, he wrestled, but his first love was football. He went on to play football at Missouri Valley College and also represented Team USA playing football in Austria. Travis co-owns CrossFit Sedalia with his wife, Katie and is a proud Army dad to his daughter, Gracy. Travis really enjoys competing in CrossFit competitions, hanging out with his friends and family, trying new foods, and relaxing at home. Travis brings the fun everywhere he goes and he knows how to make everyone feel like they can accomplish anything!

Katie Jobe

Katie is a wife, a proud Army step-mom, a dog and cat mom, and co-owner of CrossFit Sedalia. The things she loves most in life are her family and friends, her animals (and everyone else’s animals), and fitness. Katie grew up playing sports from gymnastics to soccer to basketball to volleyball. In her spare time, Katie enjoys hanging out with friends and family, playing volleyball, traveling, napping, and eating. Katie’s fitness certifications include CF-L1, CF-L2, Turbo Kick Live, and Les Mills Bodystep. Katie is also a certified ACE Health Coach. Although she ended up changing her mind at the last minute and receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Katie originally went to Missouri State University to pursue a degree in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training with a double minor in Biomedical Sciences and Nutrition. Katie’s passion is helping others and she can’t wait to help you reach your goals!

Nina Schmidt

Nina has been heavily involved in fitness for almost 10 years now, starting with bodybuilding and then discovering the magical world of CrossFit. She has competed in multiple CrossFit competitions throughout the years, including HOA, Battle in the Bluffs, and the Granite Games. In her spare time, Nina likes to spend time with her family. She has one son, two stepsons, and is happily married to her best friend, Wade. Nina enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and making healthier versions of her favorite desserts. Nina is a firm believer that most of what you achieve in the gym all depends on how strong you are mentally. She wants to help others become mentally stronger and to prove the human body is capable of much more than most think possible. Her biggest objective is to share this mindset to help others reach their personal goals! Nina currently has her CF-L1 and plans on expanding her knowledge and training in the near future! She is beyond excited to help motivate anyone who is ready to join this new journey with us!

Wade Schmidt

Wade knows no stranger. He is the one you see always cheering everyone on. Wade is passionate about helping people push themselves to always try their best. Wade is a father of three and married to his best friend, Nina. In the little spare time that he has, he spends it with family and cherishes every moment. Even with a demanding full-time job, Wade manages to prioritize his time well between family and the gym. Wade loves meeting new people and learning what motivates them and what they are passionate about. Wade is CF-L1 certified and has every intention of continuing his knowledge in fitness to help better educate everyone who decides to join our community!

Karissa Logan

Karissa is a CF-L1 instructor. She fell in love with CrossFit in 2016 when she first stepped in the box. Karissa played basketball in high school and developed a love of running after. Karissa enjoys training and competing, but mostly loves helping members achieve their goals. Karissa has a Master’s Degree in Counseling and currently practices as a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor. She is passionate about the combination of physical and mental health practices to improve lives. Karissa Loves spending time with her husband and their two daughters. Karissa and her family like hiking, riding bikes, swimming, and travelling.
